Bringing In Your Plants!

It's that time again...yes, that sad day when you need to bring your house plants in because that little man named Jack Frost is about to visit.

For me, it ranks right up there with that other day...Turning off the pool pump and winterizing.

Speaking of winterizing, I also must go to my beautiful Glamper in the woods and winterize that too!

  I love fall but, I do not like what follows!

   I found this treasure for $2.00 and decided to make a candelabra.

   Took out the guts.

   So, I went Junk-tique-ing with my Daughter-in-law on a Saturday in early May and went with my "Glamper" in mind. I found sooooo many unique treasures! This picture shows some interesting red pieces that I couldn't resist! Now, what to do with them. Any Ideas?

Happy Mother's Day

   This is a picture of (from left to right) Me, Mommy (Laura) and my sister Patsy.  I'm so thankful for a Mother who has been a constant love and support in my life. It seems Great Mothers are a rarity these days. I feel that God gave me one of the best he had. He knew what her life would mean to so many and placed her right where she needed to be and she has always held her hand out to help and lift up the ones she loves. 

   This seems to have been her gift. She's been a helper, a nurse of sorts to so many and has given countless babies their first bath. It has always given her joy to do that. Her face always has a smile as she tenderly bathes them. It's important for her to do this. To watch this, is a blessing to behold. 

   She's not a Nurse, just a Mother, Grandmother, Aunt and friend who gets great pleasure in life from doing her hearts work.  She takes great pleasure in teaching new Mommies in our family how to "Be" a mommy. She has spent weeks with numerous new mommies helping them with bathing, diapering, feeding, and burping their firstborn and has taught us all so many of her "tricks and tips" that we should have written a book.

    I don't know another woman in this whole world who has given so much of her own time in doing this and I probably never will.

   To her, every single child, Grandchild and Great Grandchild is a unique and beautiful gift from God and she says there's not a plain one in the bunch. She's right!

   So I'm thankful today, and always, to call her "My Mommy"! Even if I am 50! She's got a tough heart and tender hands.

    I love you Mommy.

   Happy Mother's Day!

Summer Antics

   Summer time is near. I've been busy doing some creative things for our camper. There seems to be a lot of Glamorous Campers out there, better known as "Glampers". I am so intrigued!!! I think I'll play along. I do not have a Vintage camper but I do have a camper. Mine is a 32 foot Nomad and sleeps 8! I have grandchildren who will stay sometimes and I have a DH (Dear Husband) so I'll have to take it easy on the frilly foofoo! Darn it!

   Anyway, here's a peek at what I'm doing with "Her". I'll update as soon as I get "Glamping" and get these items set up!

Moving On To New Ground......

Spring has sprung and all things are new...again! Life is constantly evolving. I've noticed more and more lately that the only thing that stays the same is that ...everything changes, CONSTANTLY! Flowers bloom new each year and whither away to give new birth again. Like some of my blog friends, it seems big changes are happening in our lives. Most of us are bewildered and wondering when and where we'll bloom again. Our lives are evolving, over and over again. I'm whithering and evolving....what will I be? Where will I Bloom? and When? Only God knows. So, I think we'll either Bloom BIG! Or we'll lie dormant, unwilling to change. The choice is ours to make between the two. But, I'll tell this much, You and I can either evolve and anew kicking and screaming or we can let the blooms burst open to reveal our new beauty.  BLOOM FRIENDS!!!!!!!

Really! Go to the library and check this out or better yet, buy a copy of this for yourself because you're gonna love it THAT much! I read this book in 3 days! That's a record for me! This book is so FUN! You'll actually laugh out loud! No kidding! My husband would look over at me, when I laughed, like I was crazy!!! Well, I am, just a little but I'm telling you....it's GOOD! If you want to feel good, get energized and if you love lavander, then you'll love this. You'll be walking and talking and smelling lavander all the way through! And then... you'll wish you hadn't read it yet, so you can read it again! Go get it!
